Flat Wefts VS. Machine Wefts

Nowadays, the thinnest ultra flat wefts become very popular all around the world especially for European market, but it’s a much debated topic in some salons to choose the two types of wefts—flat weft or machine weft. There are advantages and disadvantages on both, better understanding will help you to decide what is best.

Machine Weft

Machine wefts are made by machine, normal each bundle is 100g with width ranging from 50”-80” for different hair length.

Advantages:

  1. a. The most common extension could be found in most hair supply stores.
  2. Much easier to install for some beginners, as the biggest benefit is that you’re able to cut them into different size without any shedding.
  3. The cost is less expensive.

Disadvantages:

  1. Not natural as hand-tied due to thicker weft part.
  2. Less light and comfortable to wear because of double weft.
  3. 1.5-2 inch short hair at the top

Flat Weft

Flat wefts are made by hand, normally each set includes 2 pieces and the width of each is about 75cm.flat-weft

Hand-tied hair wefts are made by skilled crafts-persons, they use a fine thread to tie individual tufts of hair creating a very thin and durable track. Normally each set is 100g including 5-6 pieces and the wide of each piece is 8”-10”, custom order could be supplied according to special request as well. Daily care is very important, try to get a soft comb and brush your hair extensions carefully every morning when you get up. That way you can keep your hair free from tangles and matting from the beginning of your day. However, you have to do it in a gentle way.

Another essential tip is a washing method, we suggest you to wash your hair extensions every ten days. Washing the hair massaging it from the roots and descending softly towards the tips using a salon recommended hydrating shampoo and moisturizing conditioner. After washing, you have to thoroughly rinse the hair with clean water and pat dry with a towel or dry hang the extensions up naturally. While brushing, hold the hairpieces at a vertical angle and brush the hair from the tips to the roots.

HOW TO MAKE MACHINE WEFTS

Step1- Sorting the hair

When we collect the hair from the hair material market,some supplier may mix two braid which are from different donors together, so we need to separate them to make sure each braid solely belongs to one donor.

Step2-Pick out the best bundle

In each ton of hair,We’ll only pick out only 1%-2% good quality hair,which is silky ,smooth to make the superior quality hair extensions. Most of hair is in the medium quality and divided into different hair grade.

Step3-Arranging hair

To be simple,in this step, ensure the head of the hair is even and the hair is smooth by removing short or unqualified hair.

Step4- Sewing weft

Using triple machine techonology to sewn hair wefts and guarantee no sheeding. Two single tracks are then sewn together to form one double wefted track, this double weft leads to durability and longevity of our machine wefts.

Step5-Washing

We need wash weft then and clean up the dirty.

Step 6 -Drying

We’ll use our professional drying container to make the hair dry safely.
