Valuable questions you may concern about HAIR

Part 1: Questions about hair weft/weave?

It seems that there are a little information about hair weft/weave online. You may have many questions about hair weft extensions, let’s start from “what is…?” all about weft/weave extensions:

  • What is a weft of hair?

Wefted Extensions. Machine wefted or machine weft hair extensions refer to products which have been sewn or “wefted” to create the bundle of extensions. Loose or “bulk” hair is fed through a triple-head sewing machine to add a reinforced stitch near the top (root) of the individual strands.

  • What is a weave hair extension?

The braided hair is then sewn down and the hair weft extensions are sewn onto the braids. A weave can consist of a few tracks, or the whole head can be braided for a full head weave. With a full head weave, the braids are sewn down or covered with a net.

  • What is a micro ring weft?

Micro Weft Hair Extensions – Application. Micro ring wefts combine both the micro ring attachment and a hair weft. Small sections of the natural hair are threaded through each tiny micro ring and then the micro ring is clamped flat to secure it in place.

  • What is a skin weft hair extension?

A Tape or Adhesive Skin Weft hair extension is a hairpiece made from human hair, and can be attached to the wearer’s scalp by a specialized tape system. Small Strips of tape are used to sandwich a person’s real hair and the extensions.

  • What is a quad weft?

The Quad Weft is a revolutionary hairpiece containing FOUR strips of hair securely sewn onto one thick weft. The 12″ wide piece securely clips on to your head, from ear to ear – instantly adding length and thickness for a complete hair transformation.

One more question: How long does weave in hair extensions last? The recommended length of time to keep a weave in is two months. Full head weaves and tracks should be touched up every 2 to 4 weeks. You should also leave a 2 to 4 week gap in-between weaves and it’s essential to have conditioning treatments done before, during and after your weave.

Part 2: How many bundles of hair you need ?

We all know that Goodyard special offer Ali-Queen collection in 2017 which include 3 choices for all of you: human hair bundles with closure, hair weave bundles and lace closures. We have discuss many questions about hair weft and weave in the last post “Part 1: Questions about hair weft/weave?”, today let’s talk about how to know how many bundles of hair do you need here:

  • What is a bundle of hair?

A Bundle is 1 piece or 1 “pack of hair”. Bundle is the term used when describing virgin hair because the hair is essentially bundled together once collected from the donor and sewn onto a weft. Each bundle weighs approximately 3.2-3.5oz.

The general rule of thumb is: the shorter the hair bundle the more volume you get. A 12” will have far more volume than an 18” bundle of human hair. With 12” and less, 1 bundle can be more than sufficient – because, this length has plenty volume on the weft. Anything from 14”, it is best to apply 2 bundles.

  • How many bunces of hair do you need for a full weave?

While everyone’s hair is slightly different, we have provided the following list to help you determine roughly how much hair you will need for a weave: Full head sew in weave: Hair 10″ to 16″ long. 4 ounces = A half head of extensions (to add body or length) 8 ounces = A full head of extensions.

  • How many bundles of hair do you need to do a full sew in?

– 3.5oz for the Brazilian, Indian, Malaysian, Peruvian, and Cambodian hairs.
How many bundles do I need to complete a full sew-in?
12”-16” needs 2 bundles 18”-24” needs 3 bundles 24”-30” needs 3 to 4 bundles 30”- 36” needs 4 to 5 bundles.

  • How many packs of hair do you need for a partial sew in?

For a partial sew in with your edges and crown let out: 12”-16” needs 2 bundles, 18”-24” needs 3 bundles 26”-30” needs 3 to 4 bundles depends of the size of your head and how full you like sew-in. For a FULL sew in with no hair left out 12″-18″ needs 3 bundles, 20-30 needs 3-5 depending on how you like your fullness.
