COVID-19 :Stay Safe ,Stay Strong on 2020

Last week, a reporter from Lo Nuestro in America made a exclusive interview to GOODYARD HAIR about the COVID-19 in Spanish,including our experience since the outbreak in China and how people have gone through this difficult period.What to do when staying at home under quarantine ? Now there is also outbreak in America , what advice or experience for them?

The coronavirus outbreak in China：

The outbreak of the coronavirus happened to be our Chinese Spring Festival holiday.In this traditional Chinese festival, we could have gathered with our loved ones to celebrate the New Year. However, almost no one can go out and stay safe at home only when the virus was spreading rapidly.When we have to go out to buy food, we will buy a lot at one time to reduce the chance of going out, wear a mask and practice social distancing . It’s better to drive when go out ,try not to take the public transportation, such as the bus or subway. Registration and temperature measurement is also required when you go in and out of a residential area or other public places .Although this precaution brings some inconvenient, it is effective in reducing the spread of the virus. We are also willing to do to protect ourselves and others, and believe it will past very soon.

So what we did when stay at home under lockdown?

Life:People preferred to stay at home for 24 hours, no parties, no shopping. All of the demand change to online shopping, even school online course, kinds of online training and internet live show. It is funny that this lockdown policy created many new chefs, bakers, and internet stars. People didn’t fear the coronavirus but very enjoy the quarantine time. In the this video, we’d like to share some funny life under lockdown with you.

Work:During that hard time in china ,We even cant go back to work.But epidemics abroad are not serious,our customers also still have many demand on hair and lashes business. So we decide to work from home and keep the constant quality service to our customers, keeping online to reply emails or messages, having weekly online meeting to solve the customers’ order issues, updating our social media regularly to keep everything goes well.As a mother just returned to work ,i also know how important the work is to me.Make money for my baby and as well as serve our customers well.Now the business is slow as many salons are closed because of the outbreak word widely, we think it’s a good time for us to improve skills or sharing some knowledge to know more about the production or workmanship of our hair and lash products.

Now the situation in china have been controlled by the government, we sure all of you will stay strong to fight it also. Goodyard Hair are expecting to overcome the difficult time with you together.

How to Dye Hair at home

Getting Ready :

Wash your hair 24 to 48 hours before dying.
Pick a color that you really like. I
Protect your home and yourself from dye stains.
Put a towel or color cape around your shoulders.
Brush your hair well.
Coat your hairline, ears and neck before applying dye to your hair.
Put on your gloves.
Use the supplied bottle or a bowl to mix the dye.
Mix your dye with developer.

Dying your hair:

Use a comb to separate your hair into four different sections. Use large salon clips (found at your local drugstore) to hold the sections apart. Separating your hair into these sections will ensure that you don’t miss a patch of hair

Apply the dye to your hair in sections. Break each section of hair up into smaller 1/4″-1/2” subsections as you work (this will just make your dye job more even.) Use the applicator bottle or brush to dispense the dye onto your hair. Use your gloved fingers to work the dye into your hair. Whether to begin applying the dye will depend on whether or not you have ever dyed your hair before.

For virgin (first time dyeing) hair, start applying dye about 1 inch from your roots.

For touch-ups, start applying dye about ½ inch from your roots.

Work the dye into your hair well so that you do more than simply color the top layer of your hair.

Set a timer for how long you need to leave the dye in your hair. Follow the instructions on the box. Do not rinse the dye out before the minimum time or leave the dye in past the maximum time. Make sure to follow the directions exactly. If you have a lot of grey hair, it’s best to leave the dye in for the maximum amount of time. [8]

Never leave hair dye in overnight. Leaving it in overnight will dry out your hair and it may cause severe skin irritation as well.

Rinsing Your Hair

Wipe excess dye off of your neck and forehead with a paper towel or wet cloth.
Wait until the process time is up to rinse your hair.
Shampoo and condition your hair.
Dry your hair and style as usual.

What Are Pre-bonded Hair Extensions?

Pre-bonded hair extensions are pieces of hair, real or synthetic, that have a bonding agent pre-applied at one tip. The extensions are used to increase the length and fullness of a person’s natural hair and can be cut and styled just like real hair. There are several types of these hair extensions, such as nail tip, rare remy nail tip, and stick tip. Each type comes in a variety of colors and textures.

Nail tip pre-bonded hair extensions are also called U-tip extensions. During the manufacturing process, bonding glue is placed at one end of the extension. A hair stylist attaches the glued tip of the extension to a client’s hair with a professional heat connector clamp. This clamp resembles a thin hair straightening tool and has a built in lip to place the glue tip into. The hair stylist squeezes the top and bottom sections of the heat connector clamp together and applies pressure to melt the glue, bonding the client’s natural hair to the extension.

Remy nail tip hair extensions are assembled so that all the hair cuticles are running in the same direction. This prevents tangles and keeps hair looking smoother and neater for a longer period of time. Remy extensions may also be more expensive when comparing prices to other pre-bonded hair extensions. These extensions are applied in the same way as regular nail tip extensions.

Stick tip, or I-tip pre-bonded hair extensions are also manufactured with the bonding glue at the end. This type of extension is different because of the way it is attached to the hair. A hair stylist uses small attachment devices called micro rings, micro loops, or shrink tubes to adhere the extensions onto the client’s real hair.

Micro rings and loops are small hoops that match the client’s hair color. The hair stylist clamps the micro rings or micro loops around the extension and the natural hair and then squeezes the ring tightly using a specially designed connector tool. The shrinkable tube method uses plastic rings that are applied in the same way, but are closed with a heat clamp to bond the plastic ring and the glue together.

The bonding agent most commonly used on pre-bonded hair extensions is keratin glue. This glue is formulated to prevent damage to the hair while providing maximum hold. As hair grows out, the glue can loosen and the extensions will need to be tightened or reapplied. Keratin glue is reportedly the safest glue to use for hair extensions. A hair stylist can remove the extensions with keratin remover.

Types of Hair used in the manufacture of Extensions

Human Hair

Human hair extensions are made from genuine human hair that is paid for and harvested by people, usually young women all over the world.Particularly in China and India.

Human hair extensions can adjust or vary broadly in quality. On the low end of the scale, hair is chemically stripped of its cuticle so that it can be machine processed without regard for direction or root-tip alignment. If the cuticle were left in, the root-tip alignment could become mixed up, the microscopic scales that form the cuticle would be opposed and snag on each other causing tangling. The negative effects of stripping the cuticle are brittleness, reduced protection from sunlight, dryness, salt, chlorine and pollution as well as a tendency to absorb liquids and swell or matt. It is not advisable to color or heat-style this hair.

Remi hair describes hair that has not had its cuticle stripped and has at least been partially hand-processed to maintain root-tip alignment. This hair is more expensive but will remain in good condition for much longer than stripped hair. It can also be heat styled and colored. Sadly, this industry is not regulated and many manufacturers will mark products with Remi or Remy, hair that has no cuticle or is even mixed with synthetic materials.

Apart from the 2 types described above, there is a third type of hair. Virgin hair is hair that has not been chemically treated. It is harvested, sanitized and sold in bulk. Having said that, hair that is in poor condition, such as Split ends, chlorine/salt/UV damaged hair etc. rarely finds it way into this market as the buyers have strict conditions and expectations, therefore eliminating any hair thy deem unfit for sale.

Step 1: Put your hands through your hair. Massage your scalp with your fingers horizontally and vertically. Then, pull your hair up gently and slowly in order to make your scalp feel absolutely relaxed.

Step 2:Grasp the front part of your hair (see picture below) and pull the front forward, back, right and left. Through doing this, you can relieve pressure and relax yourself.

How Did Old Ancient Dye Hair

For ancient Egyptians, appearance was an important issu e. Appearance indicated a persons status, role in a society or political significance, and the hair is an important part of that. Just like today, ancient Egyptians also dyed their hair for beauty, and the most popular color is red, but how did they obtain the color without the technology we have today ?

Scientists found a material called henna in a strand of Egyptian hair from as early as 3400 BC. Research showed that Egyptians used henna to dye their hair red. Henna is still used today. Also there is a body of evidence from paintings that depict the existence of people with red hair, such as the 18th Dynasty Hunutmehet.

Also there were some others means to dye hair, for example, the old Roman dyed hair with lead acetate, they dipped lead comb in the vinegar, and then combed the hair to get black hair, also the mixture of walnut shell and garlic sprouts made the same effect. And Germanic people could get black color from a mixture of suet and plant ash juice.

In China, there were also many methods to dye hair, The Eastern JinDynasty medical scientist Ge Hong wrote that artemisia stelleriana could dye the hair black, which was recorded as a secret in the Palace. And in the “Compendium of Materia Medica” written by Li Shizhen in the Ming Dynasty, there were more than twenty kinds of drugs that could be used to dye hair.

Now we can see that the ancients were also fashional in dyeing hair, and even without advanced technology, they can achieve it though various natural manners too, but still one question, all of them could not solve the color fading, regrettably, which is also a difficult problem today.
