The on hair show only take 2 days. The second day , Goodyard team met a very lovely family on second day at Cosmoprof. The mother of the family is a hair salon owner and attended the exhibition with all her family. She had a great interest in our heat resistant synthetic wigs, and almost every family member tried our wigs with her, and the father was one of them J We had a quite a relaxing conversation and the mother bought a pink synthetic wig with all support from her family in the end.

Obviously they love the trendy wigs and hair extensions. Place the trial order at once, prepare for the coming Xmas and new year holidays parties.

Another guest that made me impressed with is another exhibitor from a Milan Hair extension company. He was very professional and conversable. He asked if we came from Qingdao at first and asked a lot of questions about tape-in hair extensions, our warehouse location, delivery time, etc. We exchange our business card with each other. I really hoped we can have further cooperation in the near future.

In our spare time, River and I were willing to bring our catalog books and our business cards to drop in other exhibitors and to talk about their popular hair products and to learn how they set up the booth. At around 5:30 pm, all exhibitors, including us, start to pack up all or the left samples and remove all the display racks and stuff, which signified the Cosmoprof exhibition was drawing to an end.

GOODYARD TEAM have attended kinds of International Cosmoprof Exhibitions for many years. This is the second time to be here in Bologna Italy.

Weather forecast had showed that 11/24, our first day in Bologna, was drizzling all day long, and it truly was, so we took a rest in hotel in the morning and stored up our energy for Move-in that day afternoon.

We arrived at the Piazza Della Costituzione (Exhibition Center) with two large baggages of hair extensions and wigs samples around 11:30 am. Our booth number was B18, which is a very lucky number in China. If you could pronounce it in Chinese, it means “必要发” (“make a fortune for sure”). After we located our booth, we started to set up our display racks and posters right away.

“Move-In” was a huge and complicated task indeed. We took almost six hours to finish all the work, but we all very delighted at our final result. The transformation of our booth was prominent.

Lace Closures are a fairly popular item for women who care about their hair. The flexibility and versatility of closures makes them applicable for just about all types of hair, whether natural, scanty, permed or the less thrilling receding hairline. Our natural hair doesn’t always blend well with foreign textures; for instance Brazilian or Indian, and as a result, some weaves tend to reveal breakage, bald spots and thinned edges: closures can be used effectively to prevent such occurrences. If you know what to look for in Lace closures, you will have an easier time at the beauty salon. Here are some facts and tips about closures you should know about:

  • A lot of women tend to confuse frontals with lace closures. Closures are not frontals; however, frontals can be considered closures. Lace frontals are basically a hairpiece which mimics a person’s hairline, covering it up from ear to ear.
  • Closures come in different forms and sizes so not every purchase would work for you. Look for the size that works perfectly for your scalp so that it fits well. Laced based closures are preferable because they lay flatter and are more comfortable.
  • Never use glue for your closure; it’s a common mistake among women and it could lead to hair loss. Sew the closure in to avoid spoiling it or losing hair.
  • Closures cover the crown and though a frontal can be sewn or clipped in the back, the best method for putting it in place is by bonding. The bonding process involves liquid or tape adhesive whereby the adhesive is applied sparingly to the lace mesh and then carefully secured on the front part of the hairline.
  • When wearing a weave, keep the area at the front hairline and crown well blended.
  • Sewn-in or bonded weaves usually require lace closures to cover the top area where the track hair or weaving hair gets sewn/bonded down. This process often creates an area called the “horseshoe” where some hair gets left out. Closures can be used to cover up that area and add some decorative style to enhance the weave.
  • Always make sure you tint the materials used on your closure so that it matches your scalp. When you properly tint the closure it makes it easier to part, pull back or twist your hair in any style you want without drawing attention to the closure.
  • You may use liquid, tape adhesives or weaving thread to apply closures: that will create a natural-looking head of weave. Just about everyone will be convinced it’s your natural hair.
  • In order to get the best results, always get your closure fitted by a professional.

It’s essentially a mesh which happens to be the most durable type of closure and is applied in a single-strand method, hence the name mono-filament. It is perfect for stiffer hairstyles with full bangs because it maintains the original shape without much effort. The mesh creates a natural-looking transparent base which happens to be transparent and makes the scalp look better. Skin-polyurethane closure: comes in a thin, flexible silicone base which tends to create the illusion of a natural scalp. It is not durable though, and it doesn’t let air in so it would not be ideal in hotter climates.

 

Combination/Hybrid closure:

Uses the longevity of monofilament and combines it with lace so as to create a natural-looking hairline. Hybrid closures come in high density especially in the portion with monofilaments and the lace when combined with flesh-tone silk creates a more natural look.

This type of closure involves wefted hair sewn into a mesh base. It usually comes in an oblong shape and can be fitted in at an angle, where the depth of part can be manipulated without including the hairline.

Many factors are to blame for hair loss including medical conditions, genetics, some medications, harsh scalp or hair treatments, and hormonal changes. Methods to treat this condition in women are effective in some cases, but in others medical and surgical interventions may be needed to restore hair growth.

Determining the Cause of Your Hair Loss

1See your doctor to rule out a medical condition. Several medical conditions can either temporarily or permanently interfere with normal hair growth and development. Some of these medical conditions include the following:[1]

  • Iron deficiency anemia.[2]
  • Thyroid conditions.[3]
  • Deficiencies in zinc, vitamin D, and possibly the B vitamin group.[4]
  • Hormonal level alterations of androgen, testosterone, and estrogen-derived hormones.[5]

2Treat the medical condition. Medical conditions can lead to either temporary or permanent problems with hair loss.

  • With the help of your doctor, and possibly healthcare professionals that practice in specialty areas, treating the underlying medical condition may resolve your hair loss problem.
  • Your doctor will need as much information as possible about your hair loss problem, so be prepared to discuss this issue in depth. Be prepared to describe when it began, any significant life events that occurred just prior to the problem, steps you have taken to resolve it, and how much distress the hair loss is causing you.
  • If an underlying medical condition is discovered, specialists that may be part of your treatment may include endocrinologists, dermatologists, nutritionists, and psychiatrists.

3 Understand how your hair grows. Many of the medical conditions listed interfere with one of the three phases of hair growth.

  • The anagen phase is the period when your hair is actively growing. About 85% of your hair is in the anagen, or growing phase, at any given time.
  • The catagen phase is a short period of time, about two weeks in durations, that allows the follicle to regenerate. Hair growth is halted during the catagen phase.
  • The telogen phase is considered the resting phase of hair growth, and lasts for two to four months. At the end of this phase the hair falls out. Most people normally lose about 100 hairs each day due to the hair that is in the telogen phase.

4 Realize that telogen effluvium is often temporary. Many medical conditions that cause hair to move into the telogen phase can be treated.

  • Since your hair remains in the telogen phase for several months, your hair loss may not occur immediately after the event that triggered it. This would include physical trauma and severe emotional stressors.

5 Review your medications with your doctor. Many medications can cause temporary hair loss.

  • Do not alter your medications for any reason. Talk with your doctor about your concerns. If you feel a medication is causing your hair loss, your doctor may be able to help by either adjusting the dose or prescribing a similar medication to take its place.
  • Some medications that are known to contribute to hair loss include lithium, warfarin, heparin, and levodopa.
  • Drugs that are classed as beta-blockers can also cause hair loss. Examples of medications in this class include propranolol, atenolol, and metoprolol.

How To Blend Clip-In Luxy Hair Extensions With Thin Hair

If you have fine hair and are looking for some guidance on how to wear your Luxy clip-in hair extensions, you’ve come to the right place.

Sometimes, it can be a little tricky to fully hide the clips of your hair extensions. The steps we share with you in this post, however, will help you blend your extensions naturally and seamlessly!

*Important: If you are experiencing excessive hair loss or medical hair loss conditions, we strongly advise to consult with your doctor first, to discuss if wearing clip-in hair extensions is right for you. 

Tip #1: Make a solid base for the wefts

In order for the weft to have something to hold on to without sliding, it is important to create a firm and thick base to which you will clip the weft. This will help secure it in place and prevent tugging on your hair. You can create this base by teasing the roots of the section to which the weft will be clipped on.

Tip #2: Find the safe zone

A very important step when clipping in your extensions is figuring out what your “safe zone” is. This is the area on your head where the clips will not be seen. Usually, for fine hair, the safe zone is anywhere below the line of your eyebrows. Draw an imaginary circle around your head from one eyebrow to another; anywhere below that circle is where your wefts are going to be clipped in.

Tip #3: Position your wefts

We all have different hair types, head sizes, shapes, etc. Therefore, although there is a general sequence in which extensions should be clipped (can be found here), there is no one right way to do it. Play around with the wefts and find what positioning works best for you. Fine-haired ladies especially need to pay attention to the top of the head, to make sure that the wefts aren’t peeking through (remember the safe zone!). Read the next tip for some positioning suggestions.

Tip #4: Choose your wefts

Sometimes, you won’t need to use all the wefts, and that’s absolutely okay. If you’re struggling to find space on your head for all the wefts, there is a good chance that you don’t need to use all of them. Figure out which sequence works with what wefts, and only use those. Here are some ideas you can try:

Tip #5: Tease your Crown

Once your extensions are clipped in, you will notice the difference right away in how much longer and thicker your hair feels (great feeling, right??). Naturally, it may be noticeable that you have more hair at the bottom than at the top of your head. To make it look more natural, it’s a great idea to tease your hair at the crown to add some volume to match the rest of your hair. This will give an overall harmonious, voluminous look.

Growing your hair out, especially from short hair, can take years. With hair extensions, you can have the long hair you want without the wait. For women suffering from hair loss, hair extensions can be a beacon of light. Not only can hair extensions lengthen your hair, but they also can be used to fill in balding areas and give your hair a more natural, thicker appearance.

Hair extensions are done using different methods like Braid Weaves, Mega Tips or Micro Linking / bounding. Some used as serious extensions for long keeping and some for fun and a night out! Regardless of the method or intention, always make sure your extensions are done by a professional. Although when done correctly, hair extensions are safe and won’t damage your hair or scalp, if done incorrectly, both scalp and hair damage can occur.

For Short Hair

Here are few advices by King of Hair Extension Jesse Briggs for doing Extension on shorter hair:

You can have Extension on short hair if you hair on sides are 2″ long when straight. You may bond hair in 1/4″ strands of hair to look natural. For example: Great Lengths has 25 strains per bundle and those can be cut and bonded to hair on sides in 1/4″ strands, so that’s 100 small strands to look natural per bundle.

Most heads take 5 to 7 bundles to really look natural and you may have short bob or shoulder length or mid back to waist, but if you have a very short hair then your best choice would be just above shoulder until hair grows longer.

Choose a top experience extension expert for a one-to-one consultation to be sure you feel comfortable for the investment of your new look.

The extension should last for at-least 5 months when installed correctly by an extension-stylist.

Extensions require care and maintenance and you must follow all steps and guidelines provided by your extension-stylist. Otherwise bonds become weak and hair will slip and start to shed prematurely.

You can blend colors to create a unique and natural look – For example you can blend two colors of dark brown and black “called multi blending” to make the final look natural.

How to achieve short to long hair instantly with our hair extensions for short hair: You’ll need a PRO hair stylist to apply your hair. Meaning someone who is certified to put in tape-in hair extensions, specifically. This will ensure that your hair is installed properly and all of the steps are followed correctly so that your extensions won’t slip. A PRO will install hair for short to long hair instantly, and will ensure that your hair stays healthy and increase the span of wear time. You’ll need 1 hour. At least two packs of Glam Seamless tape-in hair extensions and a rat-tail comb. You’ll need at least three to four inches of your own natural hair to cover tape and create the seamless natural look. We think tape in hair extensions are the best hair extensions for short hair because the hair extensions are sandwiched around the hair and in rows underneath the natural hair. This creates the seamless Glam look for short to long hair instantly.

 

Blending hair extensions for short hair: This is the most important part! You’ll need a PRO to blend your hair extensions for short hair. Note that the shorter your hair is the more difficult it will be to blend the hair, especially when installing hair much longer than your natural hair. This is why you need to mix hair lengths-short AND long hair extensions. After installing hair you will notice where the natural hair and the extensions meet. This will be more noticeable especially if your hair is blunt at the ends. Texturizing or thinning out the top layer of your own hair will help in blending your natural hair with hair extensions for short hair. This will disguise where your natural hair and extension meet. For best results with short to long hair instantly look, have a PRO cut some layers into your extensions and do a FACE FRAME. Note that the more hair extensions you have to work with the better. You will need 150 – 200 grams of hair for layers to look full and natural. Curling and straightening should be done together. By styling your hair and extensions together you will create a natural blend. After thinning natural hair and adding layers to hair extensions for short hair, you are almost ready to rock your short to long hair instantly.

How to Maintain Your ‘Short to long hair Instantly’ Look: You will need a shine spray, a dry shampoo, extension brush, sulfate free shampoo and conditioner and a deep conditioning repair mask. If you like to style your hair often, like we do, the following instructions will be beneficial to you and increase the lifespan of your hair extensions for short hair.

I used to have short hair and I know the worst and the best type of hair extensions for short hair. Hair extensions are the best solution if you have short hair, thin hair, or long hair and you want to transform your look in an instant. Many women believe that if you have short hair you cannot wear hair extensions, but the good news is that you can. If you have as little as 4 inches of hair you too can wear hair extensions. The most important thing you want to consider is the type of hair extension you choose as well as hiring the best hair stylist. It looks really bad and I wouldn’t recommend micro/individual hair extensions for anyone with short hair.  I gave up the micro extensions the minute I realized this was a terrible option for me. I also have thin hair, so the micro/fusion/keratin hair extension method was the worst experience of my life. I cut all my hair off after a bad color experience, this lady bleached my entire head of hair twice in one sitting and I looked like big bird-literally! LOL! So that is why I cut my hair off because it was so damaged.  I wanted to wear hair extensions so I could look better and my hair could grow out. I continued on my hair extension search.

Tape In Hair Extensions Then I moved on to glue in and sew in hair extensions. These were temporary solutions which didn’t allow my hair to grow and breathe. Although it was a cheaper option I put a lot of stress on my scalp and my hair didn’t grow as fast which was the entire point of wearing hair extensions-so I could get my hair long again. At this point I just wanted to give up. I didn’t want to wear my short hair but I couldn’t find a hair extension method that worked for me. Then one day I went to the salon and they told me about tape extensions. I though it sounded really “ratchet” at first. LOL! Tape extensions, yeah right. I decided to give the tape in method a try. All the women at the salon were wearing them and had not complaints. Not to mention the hair and the cost of application was way less than the micro extensions. I got the tape in method done, using 40 pieces, and it was amazing! The application took 30 minutes and my hair stylist did an amazing cut. It looked and felt so natural. After application I had no problems. I could wash my hair, workout, and it blended really well. I went in every 3 months to get them reinstalled and my hair lasted for about a year. In that year my hair grew so much! My hair went from my chin to way past my shoulders after wearing the tape extensions. What I love about the tape extensions is that they grow out with your own hair and they don’t tangle like the micro/fusion/keratin hair extensions. This was the first time that I saw real hair growth and had a great hair extension experience. I always had a hard time wearing hair extensions with short hair until I tried the tape in method. Now that my hair has grown out I still wear my tape in extensions for volume and chemical free color. After that terrible hair extension experience and bad color job I am very careful with the chemicals I put in my hair. With the tape extensions I can add highlights and ombre without coloring my own hair. This allows to to have healthy hair that continues to grow. Clip in hair extensions are great if you just want hair extensions from time to time. But they do need to be taken in and cut by your hair stylist to look natural.
